My daughter was reading the press release for AGPLA (on the AG website.) The AGT's were referred to as "Just Like You" dolls. I hope AG isn't going to change the name. I hate it!

Yeah that is really bad. It also kind of limits the number of dolls they seem to want to sell per person.
My AGoT isn't "just like me" she has red hair!

That's just a descriptor. It's not the new name, just like they're not changing the name of the American Girls Collection to "Character Dolls". They're just trying to describe them. AGOTs are modern, therefore, they're just like you. Historical dolls have books and stories and are therefore characters. Don't worry [img]smile.gif[/img]

I ho"pe so, but I don't know. The article referred to "American Girl's contemporary 'Just Like You' dolls." It was written just that way, like a proper name.
